Little Fish is joining us for a special in-store sushi sampling at our farm shop on Friday 3rd May.

They will be sampling some of their best sellers such as the Dragon Roll, Dynamite Roll, Truffle Pig, Salmon and Avocado maki. So, if you haven't tried their incredible sushi yet make sure you pop this date in your diary and join us.

Six Inches of Soil is a documentary feature film about the inspiring story of British Farmers standing up against the industrial food system and transforming the way they produce food - to heal the soil, benefit our health and provide for the local communities.

We will be joined by Imogen Stanley from Rectory Farm and Andrew Davis, Local Farmer, Journalist & Lecturer.

Imogen Stanley, Rectory Farm.

The Stanley Family have been farming the land (45 acres) at Rectory Farm since 1954.

Thomas Stanley was the first tenant farmer at Rectory Farm until his son Richard and his wife Carla took over in 1983. In 2016, their daughter Imogen joined the team: hers will be a familiar face to many of you who visit the Farm Shop, Tractor Shack Café and PYO in Oxfordshire.

Andrew Davis, Local Farmer, Journalist & Lecturer.

Andrew is well known to many of us as the long-standing (until recent cuts) Newbury Weekly News Farming correspondent, and in his own words, has had three careers - as a farmer, Regional Director for the CLA (Country Land and Business Association) and a lecturer at the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester.

A family-fun open-air cinema showing Disney and Pixar's animated film Coco.

Coco beautifully explores themes of family, tradition, and the afterlife. It combines vibrant visuals with heartfelt storytelling, making it a great choice for both children and adults and an excellent film to watch this Halloween.

The film will play at the earlier time of 6 pm, making this the perfect family evening out.

Our pumpkin patch will be open until late (pumpkins to be paid for separately), there will be a bouncy castle (weather permitting), and a fancy dress competition so please make sure you wear your best 'Day of the Dead' fancy dress!
