Autumn leaves & pumpkins please

The weather has turned, the leaves are falling and our home-grown pumpkins are ready to go to good homes.

Autumn in our farm shop brings an abundance of delicious home-grown produce; we have a variety of squash and lots of pumpkins, fresh from our farm, in Hungerford.

It’s a fantastic time of year for British produce; you’ll find the likes of celeriac, savoy cabbage, cauliflowers, carrots, parsnips & potatoes (to name a few) now with a UK origin - all the best ingredients for your autumn recipes.

In our cafés, you’ll be able to enjoy a seasonal change of menu and some warming, hearty seasonal specials too. Our fantastic stretch tents remain in situ over our outdoor seating allowing customers to continue dining outside if they wish during the winter months. Don’t worry we have heaters too for when it gets a bit chillier, but do wrap up warm.

Please continue to book your tables online to avoid disappointment, particularly as we head towards December when things get busier again. Book here.

Pumpkin season has arrived on Cobbs Farm, Hungerford!

The farm will be open daily from 10 am - 3 pm between Saturday 2nd and Sunday 31st October. There is no need to book this year! When you arrive at Cobbs, grab a wheelbarrow from the front of the farm shop and follow the signs over to the pumpkin picking fields. After picking a pumpkin (a two), please return to the farm shop to pay for your pumpkins – card payments only. Please note: If you would like to join us for breakfast or lunch in the main café, we highly recommend booking a table before visiting! Book here.

It’s game on at our butchers: Game season has officially arrived!

We’ve got local Hampshire Game available at our butchery counters from Hazelwood Game in Romsey. Our butchers can recommend the best meat and cuts for your needs as well as recipe ideas.

An example of the game you will find on our counters at the moment includes wood pigeon, pheasant, partridge, and venison - but the list changes throughout the season so come in and see us.

Happy game season!
