Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2025: Building the Future at Cobbs!

National Apprenticeship Week 2025 is here, and at Cobbs, we’re all in! This year’s theme, “Skills for Life,” perfectly reflects our commitment to nurturing talent and building careers that last.

Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to gain hands-on experience, develop expertise, and kickstart a rewarding career—and we’re proud to be a part of that journey.

To mark the occasion, we’re excited to pledge 10 new apprenticeship opportunities over the next 12 months! Whether in retail, hospitality, or butchery, we’re on a mission to inspire and train the next generation of skilled professionals who share our passion for great food and craftsmanship.

Reviving the Art of Butchery

One area we’re especially proud to support is butchery—a traditional craft that’s more important than ever. In today’s world, where sustainability, traceability, and high-quality produce matter more than ever, skilled butchers play a crucial role in the food industry.

We already have some fantastic apprentices in our butchery teams, trained under the expert guidance of MEAT Ipswich and our talented head butchers. Watching them refine their craft over the years has been incredible, and we’re passionate about reviving and celebrating this highly skilled profession. By investing in young talent, we’re ensuring that the art of butchery continues to thrive for generations to come.
