5 reasons to shop local this Christmas
1. A delicious Christmas Dinner.
Our priority is to source the best quality ingredients from ethical producers who share our values. We buy our award-winning, free-range turkeys from Peach Croft Farm, Oxford - a family we have worked with for over five years. We source our 28-day dry-aged beef from surrounding Berkshire and Hampshire farms, and our succulent free-range pork comes from The South Downs.
Your seasonal (locally sourced) veggies are delivered to us daily, guaranteeing freshness and quality, and don’t forget the all-important trimmings, such as our locally made cranberry sauce and gravy!
2. Unforgettable Christmas feasts.
Make up for the lost feasts of last Christmas by making this year one to remember! Share with friends delicious cheese boards bursting with locally made cheese, chutneys, and crackers. Treat grandparents to the best homemade cakes from our wonderful small producers and toast to better times with our very own award-winning English Sparkling wine from Alder Ridge Vineyard.
3. Unique gifts to spoil the family.
We are proud to source original products that you might struggle to find elsewhere. You can find the perfect gift for everyone, from bespoke food hampers to fresh flower bouquets, handmade wreaths and unique gifts and cards from our fantastic local florist, Wildbunch Florists.
4. A memorable shopping experience.
We strive to create a more engaging and enjoyable shopping experience. Take time to browse and often sample products before you buy. After shopping, why not stop by our café for one of the best coffees around (and a mince pie!?) We serve freshly made seasonal food, and throughout December, you will find lots of festive delights to enjoy on our menu!
5. The local community benefits.
By shopping local this Christmas, you are also supporting the community around you. It creates indirect employment because we buy from local producers and farmers, but most importantly, it creates direct local jobs - cue the amazing Cobbs team!
