Our Christmas trees go on sale on Friday 24th November * at Cobbs in Hungerford, Stratford, and Winchester.
We are selling traditional Nordmann Fir Christmas trees in a range of shapes and sizes! Cobbs Winchester also has traditional Norway Spruce and a selection of potted trees.
Our team of Cobbs Christmas Elves are on standby, ready to help you pick, wrap and carry your tree to the car!
Carbon-Positive Christmas Trees.
All our Christmas trees are grown in the UK from a sustainable horticultural crop. They get replanted every year, which has many environmental benefits. Growing a six-foot Christmas tree typically takes about nine years - during this time, they benefit the environment by providing a habitat for wildlife, consuming carbon dioxide and creating oxygen.
Therefore, real Christmas trees are mostly carbon-friendly, and with most local councils offering a tree collection service after Christmas, you can keep the positivity going after the big day and recycle your tree correctly.
You can also use your tree for compost, wood chip, or brash (dead hedging) to create tangled hideaways in your garden, perfect for wildlife.
Care for your Christmas tree at home!
Here are our top tips for looking after your trees this Christmas:
1. Leave outside until you are ready to decorate
2. Trim 1cm from the bottom of my trunk and keep in a bowl of water (a tree stand with a pot is perfect!)
3. When first brought inside, your tree will be thirsty, so keep it topped up with water!
4. Your tree doesn’t like heat, so don’t place it near a radiator or heat source
5. Decorate with love, care, and a glass of mulled wine!
