Isle of Wight Tomatoes

Introducing, Isle of Wight Tomatoes, the purveyors of delicious tomatoes grown with love on the sunny Isle of Wight, Hampshire.

About them:

Isle of Wight Tomatoes' journey began more than 15 years ago when they visited their first farmer's market. Since then, they've been on a mission to grow the tastiest tomatoes in the best possible way.

They believe it is a combination of their green-fingered expertise with the island's rich, fertile Arreton soil and sunshine that has helped them grow Britain’s tastiest tomatoes.

Did you know the Isle of Wight has more hours of sunshine than anywhere else in the UK?

The Products:

The tomatoes that are not "pretty enough" or slightly too ripe get made into a delicious range of products. Handmade, in small batches, to unique recipes, just a stone's throw away from the glasshouses, and packed full of deliciousness. It's great to know that no tomato goes to waste on the Isle of Wight!

The Tomatoes:

They grow over 200 different varieties of the most flavourful and exciting tomatoes - from the sweetest cherry to the biggest boldest beef tomato. They pick their tomatoes when they are perfectly ripe and believe that the secret ingredient to the great-tasting tomatoes that they produce is their location.

Enjoy 10% off across our range of fresh tomatoes and ambient products from Isle of Wight Tomatoes from Monday 29th May (the first day of British Tomato Fortnight) to Friday 30th June!

Fun fruity facts (and mindful growing practices!):

  • All their tomato plants are recycled to create their own compost to enrich their organic soil.

  • The rainwater that falls on their nursery is captured and used to irrigate their crops.

  • The Isle of Wight is an accredited Biosphere Reserve (learning place for sustainable development.) It has unique ecosystems, and this brilliant company has the ability to live harmoniously within them.

  • They use natural predators to help keep balance and control pests in their greenhouse ecosystems!
