Alder Ridge Win Silver Medal at IEWA

Last week we were informed by the lovely Alexander Taylor from THE IEWA that our Best in Class 2014 Blanc de Noirs has proudly picked up another medal. This time a silver!

The IEWA is an independent, consumer focused English wine competition who aims to increase the awareness about just how good English wine is. Read more…

It is a well judged competition, with a professionally diverse panel of judges (they really know their wine!)

Here is what they had to say about ours:

“So good! Lees-led nose with marmite, yeast and toffee. Very complex and together. Balanced, elegant and fine. Caramel, toast, stone fruit, ripeness - but not overcooked. A texture on the finish that just won't quit.”

“Really complex, and balanced, with lovely bright fruit.”

“Fruit complexity and texture the weight and palate are all balanced - a very good wine.”

“Complex nose. Umami on the palate with green apple finish. Totally in Balance.”

We are super proud of all the recognition that our wines are achieving in such a diverse and fruitful industry.

Did you know that we have an award-winning vineyard on our farm at Cobbs Hungerford?

Our 2014 Blanc de Noirs is £32.99 and can be purchased at any of our farm shops. We also have magnums available for those occassions that require a little extra celebration!

Cheers to English wine!
