Autumn leaves & pumpkins please
The weather has turned, the leaves are falling and our home-grown pumpkins are ready to go to good homes.
Autumn in our farm shop brings an abundance of delicious home-grown produce, including pumpkins, squash, gourds (not for eating!) and onions from our farm, in Hungerford. It’s a fantastic time of year for British produce; you’ll find the likes of celeriac, savoy cabbage, cauliflowers, carrots, parsnips & potatoes (to name a few) now with a UK origin - all the best ingredients for your autumn recipes.
In our cafés you’ll be able to enjoy a seasonal change of menu and some warming, hearty seasonal specials too. We now have some fantastic stretch tents over our outdoor seating allowing customers to continue dining outside if they wish during the winter months. Don’t worry we have heaters too for when it get’s a bit chillier, but do wrap up warm.
Usually at this time of year we are busy buying Halloween decorations ready to dress our pumpkin carving tents (at Cobbs, Hungerford and Cobbs, Englefield) but both events have been postponed this year. We have been running our carving event at Cobbs, Hungerford since 2015 so we are really sad to miss it but, we do feel that this was the right choice to make in the current climate.
However, it doesn’t stop us enjoying the pumpkin season and our farm will be open for P.Y.O pumpkins from Saturday 10th October. This year, we are opening the farm a little earlier and asking customers to call ahead and book in their visit to help us manage the footfall on site. There is so much enjoyment to be had from hunting out the perfect pumpkin, so pick up the phone, grab your wellies and come see us. The farm will be open seven days a week until the end of October.

We absolutely love our customers photos from this time of year and are looking forward to seeing all your smiley faces from this season too!
NB: Our home-grown produce is available from all of our farm shops but P.Y.O pumpkins is at Cobbs, Hungerford only.
