Easy Easter Sunday lunch ideas
Why not take your Easter roasts outside this year and barbecue your meat instead? Choose freshly prepared joints for an easy Easter lunch from our butchers.
Leg of lamb
Slowly matured and grass-fed lamb, locally sourced from Berkshire and Hampshire farms. A traditional lamb roast of choice, particularly for Easter Sunday.
Freshly prepared and pre-studded for you with rosemary and garlic for your convenience this Easter weekend.
Free-range duck - £24.99 each
If you fancy trying something different for your Easter centrepiece this year, how about a succulent free-range duck?
Our butchers have specially prepared a boned free-range duck, stuffed with free-range pork fillet, cherries, and pine nuts.
Lamb en croûte - £12.99 / kg
Also available on the butchery counter for Easter will be some delicious lamb en croûtes; a trimmed grass-fed leg of lamb, wrapped in minted lamb mince and puff pastry.
Although not appropriate for barbecue cooking you could pre-cook and slice for a lovely Easter picnic instead.
No Easter lunch is complete without a bottle of bubbles to pop open. We have a fantastic selection of English Sparkling Wine available from our very own vineyard, Alder Ridge. Our favourite is the limited edition Special Cuvée which was only released last year or, the 2013 Classic Cuvée which is currently on offer for only £21 a bottle.
