What is Real Bread Week?

This year Real Bread Week runs from 18th - 26th of February! It is the international celebration of real bread and the people who make it rise!

Bread is very much an everyday favourite; whether you're popping it in the toaster and slathering it with butter and jam in the morning or adding a tasty filling between two slices for a lunchtime sarnie, it is a staple food for most households. But, we're not just talking about any old loaf of bread during Real Bread Week. We are talking about Real Bread. Real bread that has been made without the use of processing aids or additives.

Real Bread Week has two goals; the first is to encourage people to try and make their own, and the second is to encourage people to buy Real Bread from independent and local bakeries.

There are so many benefits to choosing 'real bread' over an industrial loaf; not only is it fresher and additive-free but, there are social and economical benefits by supporting a local bakery too!

Real Bread at Cobbs

Our real bread comes from the amazing Hobbs House Bakery. This family-run bakery has over five generations of baking experience and is now bringing up the sixth generation of aspiring bakers. They believe that handmade bread should be available to everyone.

Special Offer

As part of our Real Bread Week celebration, we have a special offer available on the St Martin Sourdough. A mighty, malted sourdough weighing in at an impressive 1.25kgs! This loaf will keep you going all week.
